What's your Las Vegas hotel style?

(ARA) - Sin City is definitely what you make of it. It might not be sinful at all for some, even though it might require some repentance for others.

Whether you're a saint or a sinner, there are countless ways to be entertained and Las Vegas hotels are the focal point of the city's most exciting events. Each hotel has a unique character and caters to a very specific crowd. Aside from the hotels' aims, travelers themselves almost always have a unique sense of style, and in Vegas, your choice of hotel can be customized to your tastes.

For aesthetes
The most recent crop of Las Vegas hotels is bound to please anyone who's a little bit fussy about their surroundings. The Bellagio, from its crowd-attracting fountain show outside, to its Dale Chihuly glass installation in the lobby, is 100 percent fine-living eye candy. It even has its own art museum, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, and for the nature lover, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Of course the guest rooms, suites and villas are are beautifully appointed in luxurious style.

The Wynn is sure to dazzle you, too - in fact, it's the only AAA five-diamond hotel in Las Vegas. Its rooms are stylish and luxe, and the same goes - only to a higher degree - for the suites, the largest of which covers more than 1,800 square feet, every inch of which is decorated with designer furnishings. Its sister complex, the Encore, adds more to the mix, including some great restaurants. The attention to detail extends to the restaurants, pools, golf course and every other indulgent aspect of the Wynn properties.

For families
Vegas is more kid friendly than some of the tawdry "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" branding would have you believe. In fact, it can be a really great family getaway - is there another city that bears so much resemblance to a gigantic amusement park?

Themed hotels have a huge appeal for kids, and there are some that cater more to families than others. Excalibur and Circus Circus, for instance, have family-friendly rates and tons of kid-friendly activities, from arcades to puppet shows and lots of swimming pools. The Luxor also appeals to kids, with its pyramidal shape and the elevators that travel its walls at a slant. Mandalay Bay also has some big draws for families, like a walk-through aquarium, an amazing system of pools complete with a sandy beach, and Disney's "The Lion King" on stage.

For shoppers
No matter your budget, you'll find plenty of ways to part with your cash - and you don't even have to go near the slot machines or the craps table. The highest of the high-end head to the Bellagio and Wynn for the likes of Hermes, Yves St. Laurent, Prada, Chanel, Bottega Veneta and more stores of the same echelon.

The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace offer some high-end boutiques (Christian Dior, Balenciaga) and options that are far more accessible to most shoppers (Banana Republic, Anthropologie). There are lots of non-clothing options, too, from FAO Schwartz to the Apple Store. Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops has even more choices for every budget and shopping desire, from H&M to Herve Leger, with some art galleries thrown in for good measure.
